1. Who we are

Coastal Electric ("we", "us", "our") sells genuine Panasonic split system air conditioners direct to the public, and offers licensed installation — carried out by our own in-house technicians — as an optional add-on. This policy explains what personal information we collect through coastalelectric.com.au, how we use it, and who we share it with.

2. What we collect

When you place an order or contact us, we collect:

  • Name, email address, phone number, delivery address and postcode
  • Any delivery instructions you add at checkout, and whether you've given the courier authority to leave your delivery unattended
  • Order details — items purchased, and, if you've added an Installation Package, your property type (single-level house, multi-storey house or apartment)
  • Payment is handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe — we never see or store your card details

3. How we use it, and who we share it with

We use your information to process your order, arrange delivery, and — if you've added an Installation Package — prepare a quotation and contact you to book. We share it with:

  • Stripe — to process payment for your AC unit(s)
  • HubSpot — our customer relationship management system
  • Xero — our accounting/invoicing system
  • Our supplier and licensed installation partners, as needed to fulfil your order

Your details are held only in a short-lived checkout session on our own systems while your order is being processed — HubSpot and Xero are our ongoing systems of record for customer and order data, not a database on this website.

4. Cookies and local storage

Your shopping cart (which items and quantities you've added) is stored in your own browser's local storage, not on our servers. It's only used to remember your cart between pages and isn't shared with anyone.
