1. About Coastal Electric
Coastal Electric ("we", "us") ABN 50 155 213 362 sells genuine Panasonic split system air conditioners to the public at trade pricing, and offers optional installation via our licensed technicians. By placing an order through coastalelectric.com.au you agree to these terms.
2. Orders and payment
Checkout payment covers the AC unit(s) in your order only, processed securely by Stripe. If you've added an Installation Package, no installation cost is charged at checkout — it's quoted separately and only invoiced once the installation is completed (see section 4).
3. Delivery
AC units are delivered to the address you provide at checkout. We'll notify you a day in advance of your delivery and estimated time. Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary with stock availability and freight conditions.
4. Installation Packages
If you've added an Installation Package, once payment for your AC unit(s) is confirmed we'll send you a formal quotation for the installation and call you to arrange a suitable time. Installation work only proceeds once you've accepted that quotation, and is only invoiced once the work is completed. All installation work is carried out by a suitably licensed technician (electrical work and refrigerant handling must be performed by a licensed professional by law).
On AC units of 5kW capacity or above, installation typically requires running a new circuit to your switchboard — this and any other additional scope will be confirmed with you before work commences.
5. Cancellations and returns
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change an order — AC units already dispatched may be subject to return freight costs.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coastal Electric's liability for any claim arising from your order is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant AC unit or installation service. This doesn't affect any consumer guarantee that can't be excluded under Australian law.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
